Welcome!
Life has a way of presenting us with a myriad of challenges on a daily basis.  At times, these challenges can feel overwhelming. Therapy is an opportunity to make positive changes, to move forward in your life, and to create new behavioral and relational patterns. Entering therapy, however, can be daunting for some people. Sharing your innermost thoughts and feelings, for example, can be difficult - yet rewarding.

Over the years in my practice, I feel much of my success can be traced to establishing a collaborative and safe environment in which to help others explore their problems. I incorporate psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, experiential, and relationship-centered therapeutic approaches to individualize each client's treatment.

I strongly believe that each person comes to therapy ready to work at their own pace and in their own way. There is no singular "recipe" for change as therapy should reflect each individual's history and developmental pace.  My effectiveness comes from a deep appreciation of individual differences, genuine empathy, keen analytical skills, honesty, and warmth that I bring to each session.

I consider myself to espouse high standards of care and prioritize the well-being of my clients. Confidentiality and treatment effectiveness, for example, are extremely important in my practice.  When people invest their time, energy, money, and trust into the therapeutic process, they have a right to expect significant improvement in their lives. I gladly accept this responsibility.

Nestled in the central Poplar/I-240 corridor, my office is easily accessible from anywhere in Memphis. The office is located in a small, private house with ample parking and a "walk-up" entrance. Current clients appreciate that they do not have to return through the waiting room after the session, and that the office is not shared with other clinicians. Inside, you'll find a relaxing, safe and professional space. Unfortunately, there is no handicap access.
